Camp Invention's Spark program offers rising K-6 campers a week of hands-on STEM adventures designed to foster creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills. Campers engage in four unique modules: Space Morphers, Make Waves, Fur-ensics, and The Infringers. In Space Morphers, children build and launch DIY rockets, design solar sails, and explore materials science and design engineering to transform a new planet's ecosystem. Make Waves inspires entrepreneurial thinking as campers experiment with physics, design innovative products, and create billboard boats for ocean advertising. Fur-ensics sharpens detective skills through forensic science activities, where campers investigate animal mysteries with robotic capybaras, collect evidence, and analyze clues. Finally, in The Infringers, children team up with the Innovation Force® to solve community challenges, miniaturize technology, and learn about intellectual property protection and cryptography. The program emphasizes collaboration, persistence, and creative problem-solving, encouraging children to see themselves as confident creators and innovators.
Campers kick off each morning at Base Camp with an energetic warm-up activity, then rotate through two modules before breaking for lunch and outdoor games. In the afternoon, children regroup for two more exciting modules before ending the day at Base Camp for one more problem-solving activity.
This camp is best for curious kids entering kindergarten through sixth grade who enjoy hands-on STEM challenges and want to develop their creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
