Fairmont Summer School's Math Enrichment program is designed for students in grades K-8 to reinforce core math skills and build a strong foundation for the upcoming school year. Middle school students specifically focus on Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 concepts, strengthening their understanding and problem-solving confidence. The program utilizes an individualized approach, assessing students early on to tailor the learning experience to their specific needs. Daily activities include group work and rotations through various learning stations that reinforce lessons, promote independence, and encourage problem-solving. This targeted instruction helps students catch up to grade level, receive intervention and remediation, or get ahead in their math studies.
For three hours each day, Fairmont teachers focus on reading, writing, and mathematics, with time devoted to group work and learning stations where teachers meet with small groups for individualized learning.
